Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington

Contact - Henry Leck – President | 317-695-4288 | hleck@butler.edu

Time: May 12th 6:00pm (EDT)
Location: Arts Alliance Center Flex Space, 2894 East 3rd Street, Bloomington, IN 47401

In February, student composers from the IU Jacobs School of Music and an IU Biology Department ecologist created music and curriculum based on a hike at the IU Research and Teaching Preserve. Discover the beauty of Bloomington through the power of music and science.

Melding art and music, this environmental education concert will feature the premier of three new compositions with environmental sounds along with narration and photography. The event will coincide with the opening of a new art exhibit sponsored by Artists for Climate Awareness and the  Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington featuring over 50 pieces from 32 regional artists. A wine reception will follow the performance.

*Conserve Bloomington is generously funded by an IU Innovation Grant and the Indiana Arts Commission.”

Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington

The Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington (AAGB) is a hub for communication for the many individual artists and arts organizations of all genres in our community. We do so through our online Arts Directory connecting artists with each other, the community, and to patrons. We also manage an Arts Center with a gallery, gift shop and an intimate performance or educational space (the Flex Space) located at College Mall.
