Social Media Manager for AAGB

The Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington is seeking a part-time temporary Social Media Manager to manage AAGB's online existence, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, website, YouTube, and newsletter. The primary responsibility of this role is to create a consistent brand voice and assets for our social media platforms. The Social Media Manager will work as a contractor in person (hybrid) with the AAGB team and report progress to the Vice President and the board during their monthly meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for AAGB's Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, website, YouTube, and newsletter

  • Create and curate high-quality content, including graphics, videos, and written copy, that aligns with AAGB's brand voice and resonates with our target audience

  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the success of campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve our goals

  • Collaborate with the AAGB team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media marketing

  • Provide content for the AAGB website, ensuring that all content is accurate and up-to-date

  • Provide content for newsletters to AAGB's email subscribers

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in the arts or nonprofit sector

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of social media analytics and ability to use data to inform marketing strategies

  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with website management and content creation preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation

The compensation for the Marketing Manager position at the Arts Alliance of Greater Bloomington will be $2,250 for a period of three months. As a contractor, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing their own computer and necessary equipment to work on social media. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to work as a part of a passionate team dedicated to promoting the arts in Bloomington.
